We believe love is important for doing good work. As Indiana natives, we love where we live, and we love being a part of the local culture here. We think Indianapolis is a special place, and we are excited to be a part of its burgeoning coffee culture.

We also love coffee and its mystery. Carefully roasted coffee is a work of art, with slight changes in heat and airflow and timing in the roaster making for very different results in the final cup. We never tire of roasting, brewing, or drinking great coffee.   

Last, we love how coffee enriches community. Modern life can be fragmenting, pulling us into a thousand different directions. Craft coffee does the opposite. It calls us to slow down, take in our surroundings, and pay attention to the people and everyday moments that fill out and bring richness to our lives.

We source our beans from experts who search out the best specialty green coffee available and pay a fair price for it. We roast light to medium, with the intent to highlight the coffee’s natural origin flavor, avoiding more roasty or smoky flavors. While coffee is very versatile and everyone has their preferences, we like this approach because we feel it showcases each unique coffee’s potential and gives a very flavorful cup.

Woodstock Club is a private, family oriented country club committed to providing exceptional food and service.  We are home to outstanding recreational facilities and host memorable social events, all in our beautiful historic setting.  Woodstock Club members enjoy eight Har-Tru clay tennis courts and a hard surface pickleball court, along with three lighted and heated platform tennis (paddle tennis) courts plus paddle hut with outdoor decking and fire pits, all set in a natural ravine. The club also has three pools, as well as a nine hole golf course.

We pride ourselves on offering a variety of competitive and recreational leagues and club sports for adults and children and hosting APTA premier national and regional platform tennis tournaments.

Butler University is a private university in Indianapolis, Indiana. Founded in 1855 and named after founder Ovid Butler, the university has over 60 major academic fields of study in six colleges: the Lacy School of Business, College of Communication, College of Education, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, and Jordan College of the Arts. It's a 295-acre campus and is approximately five miles from downtown Indianapolis.

Illinois Street Food Emporium is a great place with a deep connection to the community. The restaurant serves salads, sandwiches, pasta, quesadillas, flatbread pizzas and myriad sweets and breads, including croissants. The signature Tarkington Chicken is an entrée of grilled chicken with wild rice, mushrooms, carrots, onions, artichoke and spinach with Monterey Jack cheese sauce.

It was a quick spin around the block on their kid’s bikes that first motivated Tom and Nancy Revard to get into cycling.  That “quick spin” turned into a couple of hours and a family obsession was born.  Tom and Nancy soon got the whole family of eight involved in cycling and eventually opened the family business, The Bike Line, in 1979.  

Today, The Bike Line is owned by Charlie, Bill and Jimmy Revard, and specializes in Trek, Electra, Pinarello, Bianchi, Stromer, Guerciotti and BMC Bicycles. Bike Line takes pride in featuring the best selection of bike brands in the area and is the largest dealer of Zipp wheels, a premium brand of wheels raced all over the world by top professionals.

Visiting Crown Hill is like traveling back in time. Connected to the Monon Greenway traveling south from Carmel, the Monon Trail begins south of 96th Street through Broad Ripple, and passes by the Indiana State Fairgrounds before intersecting with the Indianapolis Cultural Trail on the east end of Massachusetts Avenue (Mass Ave).

From 1928 until the early 70s, the corner of Kessler and College was home to Binkley’s Drug Store, which served the booming Broad Ripple, Forest Hills, and Meridian Kessler neighborhoods. Scores of youngsters got their first fountain drink, milkshake, banana split and, yes, cough medicine at Binkley’s. Years later, many of those same youngsters stopped in to buy their first baby formula, fifth-anniversary card and seventh pair of Foster Grants.  Today,  we still hear stories like these as guests come to dine in our little slice of nostalgia.  Gone are the soda jerks and pharmacy attendants but in their place, a wait staff and kitchen crew looking forward to making your brunch, lunch, dinner or private event a memorable one!

Between the rapids of life, the twists and turns of the daily grind and the turbulent white waters, there lies the Flatwater. A place to kick back and relax, meet up with friends and family, share some laughs, and enjoy good eats and drinks. Sit out on our waterfront deck and watch the ducks fly in and skid across the canal while you take a deep breath and exhale the day away.

Located on the near northside of Indianapolis in the heart of Butler University’s campus, the gardens encompass twenty acres of hillside overlooking a small manmade lake and the historic Indianapolis Central Canal. The gardens were designed in 1949 by James Holcomb, a Trustee of Butler University, and Arthur Lindberg, then superintendent of buildings and grounds for the campus. Construction of the gardens was completed by 1950.

The Art Center builds a better, stronger, more vibrant and more united community through art. As a nonprofit, every year we offer hundreds of classes and camps, more than a dozen contemporary art exhibitions in six galleries, an outreach program that takes art into underserved communities, the OneAmerica Broad Ripple Art Fair, and much, much more!

Located on the north side of Indianapolis, Rivi has been a centerpiece of the Midtown area for many decades. Under its published Mission Statement, Membership is open to “people of good humor and high character…without regard to gender, religious or ethnic background.” A variety of programs are available to Members including USA Swimming-accredited swim teams, swim lessons and aquatic classes for adults and children,  an ever-expanding selection of fitness classes,  tennis options, days camps, dining and other activities, with some offerings open to the general public. The Riviera Club is a 501(c)7 not-for-profit Member-owned recreational and social club, with a 501(c)3 arm,  supported by 2200 families. It is a place for everyone, a truly inclusive and unique club representative of the many diverse neighborhoods and individuals around us. Today the Riviera Club is a welcoming family-friendly environment for people of any background.

Yats is a culinary gem beloved for its flavorful and soulful Creole and Cajun cuisine served in a relaxed and welcoming setting. Artifacts Gallery plays an important role in the local Indianapolis community by connecting art lovers with art makers. Artifacts was co-founded by Ann Kaplan and her dear friend Dotty, both originally East-Coasters who had landed in the Midwest. Their passion was arts, crafts, and connecting people with beautiful handcrafted objects. Since 1977, Artifacts Gallery has been devoted to featuring the work of American artists & craftspeople.  Located in the scenic village of Broad Ripple, Artifacts offers an intimate shopping experience and curated collection of Jewelry, Artful Objects, Ceramics, Wood, Glass, Home & Body Accessories, Paper Goods, Gifts, and other stylish wares and wearable art from the handmade movement.  


When my husband and I moved out to Indiana in 2007 to be closer to my parents, we quickly realized that we missed the delis and hoagie shops that we grew up loving in South East PA. With a degree in Restaurant and Hospitality Management from Penn State University in 2002, I pursued a General Managment position at Elbow Room and a few years later became Operations Mananger for the LUX Restaurants in Indianapolis.

After many years of having family and friends from back east send us PA grub, I decided it was time to bring it here for all Indianapolis to enjoy. With Bread coming from South Jersey, meat, pickles and chips coming from Philly and the heart of Pennsyvania Dutch Country we hope to give our new home of Indy a taste of what South East PA comfort food is all about.

A big thank you to our family and friends from PA to Indiana who have supported us and a special thanks to my husband and parents for all of their help in my opening of Hoagies and Hops.

From 1974-1994, the original Bulldog was the place to be for Butler students and residents of South Broad Ripple. Whether it was a stop before walking to a game at Hinkle or partying after a week of classes and work, you had to get there early to beat the rush. Thereafter, Moe and Johnny's operated for over 20 years. Now in 2022, The Bulldog is back in its home and looking to be a part of the neighborhood once again.
