Established in 2002, West Park is one of the largest parks in Carmel. The 120-acre park was reimagined in 2022. 

During spring, summer, and fall the restored prairie maze and pond boardwalks provide a beautiful walk through nature. Along your walk through the prairie maze, you are likely to find grasshoppers, praying mantises, rabbits, and many plants in bloom. A walk over the pond gives you a good look at blue herons, ducks, frogs, fish, and crawdads. There is always something to learn and see at West Park.

During the summer, kiddos can enjoy playing on the playground and integrative splash pad. Let your imagination run wild with towering structures and colorful surfaces. Transport to other worlds among mountain walls and watery canyons. West Park’s playground and splash pad with waterfalls take play to new heights – literally!

During the snowy winter months, grab your sleds and slide down the two-story sledding hill. There is even a gradual walkway up the hill to make the trek to the top easier for both kids and parents.

Located in Carmel’s West Park, the Jill Perelman Pavilion hosts Carmel Clay Park’s Summer Camp Series, Extended School Enrichment School’s Out Camps, and recreation programs for the community.

Coxhall Gardens is a unique and fascinating park, waiting to be discovered. This modern, 125-acre park includes the elegant Centerpiece, twin 90-feet bell towers, a recreation lake, and Children's Garden, which features village stores, echo walls, peek-a-boo hills, a sun dial, and Tiki huts. In 2005, the facility served as the location of the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Solheim Cup, and is the ideal setting for weddings, reunions and other special gatherings.
