Located between the JW Marriott Hotel on Washington Street and the Indiana State Museum, they have been growing food at the farm at White River State Park since 2010. This farm site is nearly 6,000 square feet.

Because of this garden’s unique location, more than 3.5 million visitors each year have the opportunity to interact with this urban farming site. Their hope is that it stimulates visitors to ask questions about the role of urban agriculture in Indianapolis and in their home countries, cities and towns

Named after Alexander Ralston, the engineer who after moving to the United States from Scotland, was hired in 1820 to help survey our city. In 1821, Ralston was then commissioned by the Indiana General Assembly to make a city plan for Indianapolis. As originally planned, the city’s 1-square mile footprint included the Governor’s mansion placed centrally on a large circular commons. Demolished in 1857, the original Governor’s mansion was replaced by what we know today as Monument Circle featuring the 284-foot tall limestone and bronze Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument.

The Scottish Rite is an appendant body of the Masonic Fraternity.  It consists of two major Jurisdictions in the United States, and other major Jurisdictions in countries around the world.  The Valley of Indianapolis was chartered by the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction of the United States, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, in 1863.

The Valley of Indianapolis hosts numerous events for members and their guests and has an extensive charitable outreach, including sponsoring a learning center for dyslexic children.

Tours of the Cathedral are available for individuals and local community groups. This magnificent example of neo-Gothic architecture remains the largest building in the United States devoted to Freemasonry. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The main tower rises 212 feet and contains a 54-bell carillon. Banquet, wedding, and meeting facilities are available; please visit our Scottish Rite Events website for more information.

The Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, previously known as the Benjamin Harrison Home, is the former home of the 23rd president of the United States, Benjamin Harrison. It is in the Old Northside Historic District of Indianapolis, Indiana. Harrison's 16-room house was built from 1874 to 1875.

Indiana Repertory Theatre, frequently abbreviated IRT, is a professional regional theatre in Indianapolis, Indiana that began as a genuine repertory theatre with its casts performing in multiple shows at once. The Phoenix Theatre has presented productions since 1983. An Equity house, the Phoenix presents the Midwest and Indiana premieres of many Broadway and Off-Broadway plays, and has presented 94 World Premieres. The Phoenix Theatre Cultural Centre is a non-profit and home to a performance collective that includes seven professional theatre companies.

The Indiana War Memorial Plaza Historic District includes the 30,000 square foot IWM Museum complete with military equipment and artifacts, three parks, four fountains, and 25 acres of monuments, statues, and sculptures in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. The IWM's properties include the Indiana War Memorial, the Soldiers and Sailors Monument, the Indiana World War II, Korean War, and Vietnam War Memorials, the USS Indianapolis (CA-35) Memorial, the Medal of Honor Memorial, the 9/11 Memorial, and the Indiana Gold Star Families Memorial. 

No state has a city with more monuments dedicated to veterans than Indiana's capital, and no city in the country maintains more acreage honoring veterans than Indianapolis.

Indiana is one of the few states in the nation that has all three branches of government operating out of the historic state capitol building. In 1825, after nine years of statehood, the capitol city was relocated from Corydon to Indianapolis. Plans for the current statehouse began in 1867 and the building was completed in 1888. It is constructed of Indiana limestone and white oak. The beautiful stained glass rotunda window is original and made from German glass.

Serving as the center of civic life in Indiana since 1888, the Indiana Statehouse is an outstanding architectural beauty and is constructed of Indiana-sourced oak and limestone. Tours are available of this four-story home of the Indiana House of Representatives, Indiana State Senate, Indiana Supreme Court, and Indiana Courts of Appeals.

The Canal Walk is a 3-mile loop along the Central Canal that runs from White River State Park up to 11th street in Indianapolis.

The Canal Walk is part of the Indiana Central Canal, which was dug in the early 1800s, in an effort to facilitate interstate commerce. Today, the refurbished Canal Walk (stretching north through White River State Park to 11th Street) serves the downtown community as a waterside promenade for walkers, runners, bikers and sightseers (while the canal itself includes a steady stream of pedal boats, which may be rented west of the Indiana State Museum).
