Located just off of 116th St. on the east side of Carmel, this 15-acre park offers a national park-feel. In 1994, Flowing Well opened as CCPR’s very first public park, and park-goers from far and wide have frequented ever since. Must-See Amenities: The Artesian Well: Most visitors bring their empty water jugs to fill up at the “Old Faithful” artesian well, which was discovered back in the 1800s. Nature Trail: A mile-long trail wraps itself through the woods and along the creek. Interpretive signage provides educational stops along the way to learn about the natural world around you. Cool Creek: Cool Creek winds through the park and is a great spot for fishing or taking the kids creek stomping. Spring Ephemerals: Flowing Well Park is the perfect spot for a spring wildflower walk in April and May. Virginia bluebells, yellow trout lily, bloodroot, and others welcome the warm weather with their vibrant hues. Try to spot as many spring wildflowers as you can with our Wildflower Bingo. Located on 206 acres in Hamilton County, Prairie View Golf Club is the only Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course in Indiana. The course is settled into rolling prairie, towering oaks and sycamores that characterize the site on the banks of the White River. A clear running stream that meanders through four holes, natural wetlands, and five serene lakes placed strategically throughout the course serve to complete a truly unique playing experience.

Your experience begins at the winding road which leads through Prairie View neighborhood to Prairie View Golf Club, past one of the five lakes featured on the course; and then towards the clubhouse, with the 1830’s era architecture complemented with a white picket fence, prairie grass, wildflowers outside and plush amenities inside.

Lawrence W. Inlow (Inlow Park) re-opened in June of 2022 with even more amenities. This 16-acre park features a splash pad, playground, pickleball courts, shelters and more. There is a huge water spray feature where kids can play while staying cool. Kids can also play on the playground areas throughout the woods – each with unique activities and features.

For adults and kids alike, there is a 9-hole disc golf course to help burn off some energy. Parents can stay cool by sitting in the shade of the shelters or enjoy playing with their children in the shade of the wooded areas.

Inlow Park shelters include grills and picnic tables just steps away from the splash pad and year-round restrooms on-site.

Newly reimagined in 2022, River Heritage Park is a 40-acre park connecting play and nature. With two main playground sections, there is something for everyone - including several wheelchair accessible components. The back trail playground area also leads you on a winding path through the wooded area toward the White River. Along the backside of the park, there are two overlooks that offer tranquil viewing of the White River.

Reimagined in 2020, Carey Grove Park is home to a playground, year-round bathrooms, permanent outdoor exercise equipment, resurfaced trails, a half-basketball court, and both a community and seasonal shelter. 

The reimagined playground brings a whole new level of exploration and play to Carey Grove Park. The playground, the first of its kind in Indiana, is divided into two sections, one designed for kiddos ages 2-5 and one designed for ages 5-12. Musical features are incorporated throughout the playground to make it the very first musical park. 

Carey Grove Park is the very first park to have outdoor workout equipment with three pieces of adult workout equipment that can be used at any time of year.
