Established in 1928, Dan Wakefield Park is a 2.69-acre neighborhood park located at the intersection of 61st Street and Broadway Street in Broad Ripple. The park offers a range of recreational amenities, including playground equipment, a splash pad, volleyball and tennis courts, a shelter, and a comfort station, making it a convenient and well-used community space. Formerly known as Broadway & 61st Street Park, the park was renamed in 2016 in honor of Indianapolis writer Dan Wakefield, reflecting the area’s local history and cultural significance.
